Job Description:

JOB TITLE: ASSISTANT MANAGER - QUALITY DEPT.

Required experience in Press Shop and Weld Shop 
As an Assistant Manager in the Quality Department within the automobile industry, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. You will work closely with the Quality Manager and other cross-functional teams to implement quality assurance processes and procedures, identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous quality enhancements throughout the production process.

Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance:

Assist in the development and implementation of quality assurance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Conduct regular inspections and audits of production processes to identify any deviations or non-conformities and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.

Supplier Quality Management:

Collaborate with the procurement team to establish quality requirements for suppliers and conduct regular supplier audits to ensure compliance.
Work closely with suppliers to address quality issues, implement corrective actions, and improve overall supplier performance.

Process Improvement:

Lead cross-functional teams in root cause analysis investigations for quality issues and develop action plans to address underlying problems.
Implement process improvements and efficiency enhancements to streamline production processes and reduce defects.

Training and Development:

Provide training and guidance to production staff on quality assurance processes, procedures, and best practices.
Foster a culture of quality excellence through ongoing education and awareness initiatives.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of quality inspections, audits, and corrective actions taken.
Prepare regular reports on quality performance, highlighting key metrics, trends, and areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

Diploma in mechanical engineering
X years of experience in quality assurance within the automobile industry, with X years in a leadership or supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of quality management systems, tools, and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, APQP).
Experience with automotive quality standards such as ISO/TS 16949, AIAG Core Tools, PPAP, and FMEA.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Proven track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives and achieving measurable results.
Certification in quality management (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Engineer) is a plus.
