A Day in the Life

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating and supporting a range of new product development projects designed to integrate with Client’s recently launched surgical robotics platform.  A key area of responsibility will be to work with our Systems Engineering group to help manage labelling and configuration management projects and improvements to speed our introduction of new features and entry into new markets.  You will work closely with Project Management, R&D, Quality, Operations, Regulatory, and other functions to deliver projects to our customers.

You Will:

 

  • Lead cross functional teams including Design teams, Manufacturing Operations, Supply Chain Planning, Sourcing, Labeling, Contract Manufacturers, and Quality through the product development process to ensure successful completion of projects and business goals. 
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and resource tracking for assigned projects. Ensure timely and effective communication to update stakeholders (including multiple teams, sites and disciplines) on the progress of the project.  
  • Schedule project meetings, document meeting minutes and key decisions, and track action items  
  • Ensure alignment between design sub system teams, operations and core team. Ensure input is incorporated early in process development and quality planning 
  • Lead in the preparation and alignment of the official design transfer to operations when metrics support operational readiness 
  • Build strong informal and formal communication channels to deliver information that is accurate and up-to-date to all stakeholders 
  • Organize and guide large numbers of distributed, cross-functional resources successfully 
  • Function as the primary point-of-contact for key leaders and stakeholders across the organization 
  • Communicates with stakeholders, obtains stakeholder engagement to ensure the end products or processes will solve the business problems. 
  • Contribute to project prioritization decisions by providing data and analysis from current and past projects 
  • Travel up to 25%

 

Must Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline
  • 8+ years of overall IT experience with 3 years of project management relevant experience

 

Nice to Have

 

  • Master’s degree in Engineering and/or scientific discipline, or MBA
  • PMP Certification
  • Scrum Master Experience
  • SAFe/ RTE or handling ART Experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Project and ProChain scheduling methodologies
  • Lean/Six Sigma certification
  • Experience leading diverse and complex projects and programs and coordinating multiple teams to execute concurrent, interdependent projects 
  • Well-versed in R&D, product development, and clinical/regulatory process (e.g. IEC 60601, IEC 62304, ISO 14971, ISO 13485) 
  • Strong written and oral communication skills and able to influence all customers (both internal and external) on issues that impact the business and its technical service and product strategies. Active listening skills with a keen awareness for various messaging styles; and polished ability to tailor delivery to a broad range of audiences 
  • Exceptional influencing and interpersonal skills, negotiating; managing change; goal setting; planning and organizing teamwork; ability to address difficult situations; conflict resolution; resource constraint and problem solving. 
  • Independent thinker with the ability to take both a commercial and operational view of complex situations
