Job Title: Communication Design Engineer

Education Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering

Job Responsibilities:

Ø  Responsible for design, coordination, and execution of Data and Telecommunication system activities on the project.

Ø  Prepare material takeoff to support project estimation.

Ø  Coordinating with clients, subcontractors, project manager and Other Discipline Engineers.

Ø  Prepare, Review and approval of material submittal and shop/fabrication drawings.

Ø  Prepare, review and checking job specifications and data sheets in accordance with project standards requirements and contractual requirements for purchase of materials and equipment.

Ø  Prepare, Review and checking transmission loss, link budget calculations.

Ø  Design of facilities as per project specification, Contract scope, applicable codes and standards.

Ø  Develop design drawings, documents, and study reports.

Ø  Technical bid evaluation and recommend technically compliant offers for PO procurement

Ø  Vendor document review and implement vendor data in design package

Ø  Review design deliverables and participate design review meetings with client.

Ø  Perform discipline check on the deliverables developed to ensure quality.

Ø  Coordinate with design team to carryout design activities

Ø  Coordinate with site team, provide technical support and clarification to resolve queries during construction.

Ø  Technical evaluation of design packages, verify and develop Bill of quantities

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from a recognized University or Equivalent professional qualification. 

5 - 8 years experience in design of Communication system. 

Conversant with International Design Codes of Practice, including BICSI, Saudi Aramco and SABIC industry standards.

Hands on experience in design of customer data networking and telecommunication system for oil and gas, cross country pipeline and refinery facilities.

Knowledge on in plant paging system, Video Surveillance System, Fiber optic/Copper cabling design for OSP, Inter and Intra building facilities, Process Automation network, RTU and SCADA network. 

Conversant with grounding, electrical protection for communication system/network / facilities. 

Experience in design of Structured cabling system, mobile and fixed radio system.

Conversant with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) 

Saudi Aramco Projects experience (preferable)
