Job Description: Operations Head Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Logistics Manager to oversee all aspects of logistics operations. The candidate should possess comprehensive knowledge and expertise in optimizing vehicle routes, planning vehicle movements efficiently, managing Logistics cost, cost saving initiatives, budgeting for logistics operations, handling reverse logistics processes, and effectively leading a team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Responsibilities:

1.Vehicle Routes and Planning:

• Develop and implement optimized vehicle routes to maximize efficiency and minimize transportation costs.

• Knowledge of TMS to streamline vehicle movements and ensure timely OTIF deliveries.

• Continuously analyze route performance and make necessary adjustments to optimize operations.

2. Cost Management:

• Oversee the expenses related to logistics operations.

• Cost for logistics activities, ensuring adherence to financial targets and cost-saving initiatives.

• Identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements

3. Team Leadership:

• Lead and mentor a team of logistics professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.

• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the logistics team.

• Delegate tasks effectively and empower team members to achieve individual and collective goals.

4. Vendor Management:

• Collaborate with vendors, carriers, and third-party logistics providers to optimize service levels and ensure adherence to quality standards.

• Negotiate contracts and service agreements with vendors to achieve favorable terms and conditions.

• Monitor vendor performance and implement corrective actions as needed to address issues and drive improvement.

5. Risk Management:

• Identify potential risks and disruptions (Transportation delay, Product Damage, Shortage) in logistics operations and develop contingency plans to mitigate their impact.

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (E-waybill and Other Documents) and industry best practices in logistics operations.

• Implement measures to enhance security and minimize the risk of loss or damage to goods in transit.

6.Qualifications: • Master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

•8+ Years Proven experience within logistics management, with expertise in vehicle route optimization, vehicle planning, Cost management, and reverse logistics.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, Advanced Excel, Power Query & Power BI with the ability to analyze complex data sets and make data-driven decisions.

• Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of effectively leading and developing high-performing teams.

• Proficiency in Transportation management systems (TMS), and warehouse management systems (WMS).

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders at all levels.

• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to logistics operations.

• Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., CSCMP, APICS) is a plus
