Job Title:  Electrical Design Engineer

Location – Saudi Arabia

Job Description-

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University or Equivalent professional qualification.
• 5 – 8 years experience in the design of Electrical facilities.
• Proficient with International Design Codes of Practice, including American, British Standards, Saudi Aramco standards, and SABIC standards.
• Hands-on experience in electrical design for oil and gas, petrochemical, and refinery facilities.
• Ability to develop Electrical Area classification drawings based on international standards and implementation in the design.
• Proficient in design codes and experienced in designing Electrical systems.
• Familiarity with electrical load study, arc flash studies, and review study reports.
• Proficient in industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, Cad Worx, SP3D, Navisworks review, and others.
• Experience in designing and preparing specifications for cable ladder/tray systems, earthing, lightning protection, motor control centers, equipment grounding, bus ducts, Power distribution systems, transformers, Switchgear, Switchrack, Variable Frequency drives, UPS/battery systems, capacitor banks, pump control, fire alarm, emergency lighting, and Solar Power systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Saudi Aramco Projects experience (preferable).

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the design, coordination, and execution of all Electrical activities on the project.
• Prepare material takeoff to support project estimation.
• Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, project manager, and other Discipline Engineers.
• Prepare, review, and approve all Electrical material submittals and shop/fabrication drawings.
• Prepare, review, and check job specifications and data sheets in accordance with project standards requirements and contractual requirements for the purchase of materials and equipment.
• Conduct technical bid evaluation and recommend technically compliant offers for procurement.
• Review vendor documents and implement vendor data into the design package.
• Prepare, review, and check electrical calculations and power system studies.
• Design facilities as per project specifications, Contract scope, applicable codes, and standards.
• Develop design drawings, design calculations, documents, and study reports.
• Review design deliverables and participate in design review meetings with the client.
• Perform discipline checks on the deliverables developed to ensure quality.
• Coordinate with the design team to carry out design activities.
• Coordinate with the site team, provide technical support, and clarification to resolve queries during construction.
• Conduct technical evaluations of design packages, verify and develop Bills of quantities.
