Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the electrical maintenance and repair activities in the steel plant, including troubleshooting electrical issues and implementing corrective actions.
- Plan and schedule preventive maintenance tasks for electrical equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team to prioritize and address electrical maintenance requests in a timely manner.
- Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems, equipment, and infrastructure to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Develop and maintain electrical maintenance procedures and documentation, including work instructions, equipment manuals, and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as production and engineering, to support plant operations and project activities.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical codes, regulations, and standards, including NFPA, NEC, and OSHA requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and training to maintenance staff on electrical systems, equipment, and safety practices.
- Review and analyze electrical maintenance data, including equipment performance metrics and failure reports, to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Participate in the planning and execution of plant shutdowns, turnarounds, and capital projects involving electrical systems and equipment.
- Manage the inventory of electrical spare parts, tools, and supplies to support maintenance activities and minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment histories, and maintenance logs.
- Monitor energy consumption and implement energy-saving initiatives to reduce operating costs and improve efficiency.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in electrical maintenance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
