Job Description:
Responsibilities:

Equipment Operation:
- Operate and control power generation equipment, including boilers, steam turbines, generators, pumps, and auxiliary systems, to produce electricity according to demand and grid requirements.
- Monitor equipment parameters, such as temperature, pressure, flow rates, and power output, using control systems and instrumentation to ensure efficient operation.

Start-up and Shutdown Procedures:
- Execute start-up and shutdown procedures for power plant equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures, safety protocols, and manufacturer guidelines.
- Coordinate with shift personnel and control room operators to ensure smooth transition during plant startup, shutdown, and changeover procedures.

Performance Monitoring:
- Monitor plant performance indicators, such as efficiency, heat rate, and fuel consumption, and take corrective actions to optimize plant efficiency and minimize operational costs.
- Identify and troubleshoot abnormalities, equipment malfunctions, or process deviations to prevent potential disruptions to power generation.

Routine Maintenance:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, inspections, and lubrication activities on power plant equipment to ensure reliability, longevity, and compliance with maintenance schedules.
- Conduct equipment checks, vibration analysis, and condition monitoring to detect early signs of equipment degradation or failure.

Safety and Environmental Compliance:
- Adhere to safety protocols, procedures, and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others in the plant.
- Implement environmental control measures, such as emissions monitoring, effluent treatment, and waste management, to comply with environmental regulations and minimize environmental impact.

Emergency Response:
- Respond promptly to alarms, abnormal conditions, or emergency situations, and take appropriate actions to mitigate risks, protect personnel, and safeguard equipment.
- Follow emergency procedures, evacuation protocols, and incident reporting guidelines to ensure effective response and documentation of incidents.

Shift Handover and Communication:
- Conduct shift handover procedures, communicate operational status, issues, and maintenance requirements to incoming shift personnel, supervisors, and control room operators.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams, engineers, and management to address operational challenges, implement improvements, and achieve operational targets.
