Job Description:

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior ETL Developer with extensive expertise in SSIS, SQL Server, and ETL processes. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing, developing, and optimizing ETL solutions, focusing on data integration and transformation using SSIS. You will play a key role in the development of data pipelines, ensuring the efficient and accurate movement of data across systems while working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• ETL Design and Development:
  • Design and develop ETL solutions using Microsoft SSIS to acquire, transform, and prepare data from upstream systems.
  • Create SQL Server stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers for the ETL processes.
  • Build data transformations, including importing data from various file formats (CSV, XML) and migrating data across different database platforms.
• Debugging and Optimization:
  • Troubleshoot and optimize SSIS ETL processes to ensure high performance, scalability, and accuracy.
  • Identify areas of improvement and optimize data movement strategies.
• Database Design and Maintenance:
  • Design, implement, and maintain relational database objects, including tables, views, indexes, and ensure optimal database performance.
  • Implement and maintain database security standards.

• Data Integration and Transfer:
  • Develop strategies and solutions for importing and transferring data between source systems, staging areas, ODS (Operational Data Store), and Data Warehouse destinations.
• Testing and Deployment:
  • Test and validate ETL processes before deployment to production and non-production environments.
  • Collaborate in system and acceptance testing, refine test plans, and ensure adherence to business requirements.
• Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
  • Document work processes, data flows (DFD, ERD), and end-user resources to ensure clear communication and traceability.
  • Prepare detailed documentation of ETL logic and processes for reference and compliance.
• Collaboration and Teamwork:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver quality system enhancements and manage critical system updates as required by the business.
  • Work effectively with distributed development teams across different locations.
• Advanced SSIS and SQL Expertise:
  • Utilize thorough knowledge of SSIS components to transform data from diverse sources.
  • Demonstrate strong skills in Transact-SQL, especially in stored procedure development, to handle complex data operations.
• Relational Database Design:
  • Strong knowledge of relational database design, including logical and physical design, with expertise in creating star schemas and data cubes.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience:7-10 years of hands-on experience in ETL development, with a strong focus on SSIS and SQL Server.
• ETL Tools: Proficient in Microsoft SSIS ETL tools. At least 5 years of experience require in SSIS.
• Python: Require min. 2 years of experience in Python
• SQL Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with Transact-SQL, including stored procedure development.
• Database Design: Expertise in relational database logical and physical design, including star schemas and data cubes.
• Data Integration: Proven experience in integrating data from various sources and transferring it between staging areas, data warehouses, and operational systems.
• Debugging & Performance Tuning: Expertise in debugging, optimizing, and tuning ETL processes for performance.
• Collaboration: Experience working with distributed global teams in a collaborative, high-performance environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Power BI, SSRS, Azure Data Factory.
• Familiarity with Big Data technologies like HDFS, HBase, Hive, Scala, MongoDB, and Spark.
