Job Description:

The Data Entry Operator is responsible for accurately entering, updating, and maintaining data in computer systems and databases. The role demands strong attention to detail, fast typing skills, and the ability to handle confidential information while supporting the administrative and operational functions of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enter and update data accurately in computer systems, spreadsheets, or databases.

• Verify data for accuracy and completeness, performing quality checks.

• Maintain data confidentiality and security.

• Review, correct, and organize data as required.

• Generate reports and support data extraction as needed.

• Handle routine administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and organizing documents.

• Collaborate with team members and other departments for data requirements.

• Ensure timely completion of data entry tasks within deadlines.

• Follow standard operating procedures and company policies for data handling.

Qualifications:

Education:

• ITI in Computer Operator & Programming Assistant (COPA) or related trade – Minimum

• Diploma in Computer Applications / IT / Computer Science – Preferred

Experience:

• Prior experience in data entry or office administration is a plus but freshers can also apply.

Skills & Competencies:

• Fast and accurate typing skills (WPM)

• Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word) and basic computer operations

• Attention to detail and accuracy

• Good organizational and time management skills

• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive data

• Basic knowledge of database management and ERP systems is a plus

• Effective communication and teamwork skills

Working Conditions:

• Office-based role with regular working hours

• May require sitting for extended periods and working on computers

• Shift work may be applicable in some organizations
