Production Engineer

Job Description:

As a Production Engineer at company, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective production of high-quality solar energy products, including Solar Array Junction Boxes, Solar Panels, and related components. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing manufacturing processes, optimizing production workflows, and maintaining quality standards to meet customer requirements and delivery schedules.  

Key Responsibilities: 

1. Production Planning and Scheduling: 

• Collaborate with the Production Manager and other stakeholders to develop production plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies to meet customer demand and delivery targets.
• Monitor production schedules and adjust workflows as needed to optimize efficiency, minimize downtime, and maximize productivity. 

2. Process optimization and continuous improvement:

• Analyze production processes, equipment performance, and workflow layouts to identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency improvements.
• Implement best practices, process improvements, and lean manufacturing principles to streamline production operations and reduce waste. 

3. Quality Control and Assurance:

• Develop and implement quality control procedures, standards, and inspection processes to ensure the production of high-quality solar energy products that meet industry standards and customer specifications.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of production processes, equipment, and finished products to identify and address quality issues and deviations.

4. Equipment Maintenance and Reliability:

• Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure the proper maintenance, calibration, and repair of production equipment and machinery to minimize downtime and ensure operational reliability.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs and troubleshoot equipment failures to minimize disruptions to production schedules. 

5. Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards in all production activities and work areas.
• Promote a culture of safety awareness and adherence to safety protocols among production staff to minimize the risk of accidents and injuries.

6. Training and Development:

• Provide training and guidance to production staff on production processes, equipment operation, quality standards, and safety procedures to enhance skills and performance.
• Identify training needs and opportunities for skill development to build a competent and capable production team. 

7. Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records and documentation of production activities, including production reports, work orders, inventory records, and quality inspection reports.
• Prepare regular reports and updates on production performance, efficiency, quality metrics, and KPIs for review by the Production Manager and senior management.
