Job Description:

Performing calculations of manufacturing costs and financial analyses in the RFQ/development phase through to handover to the factory.

  • Tracking project profitability, including manufacturing costs, investments, and development costs, until series production (SOP).
  • Evaluation of changes (internal/external) and modeling of corresponding calculations and business cases, including manufacturing costs, investments, and development costs.
  • Preparation of Steering Committees/Gate Reviews to support decision-making during project progress.
  • Supporting sales in creating Cost Breakdowns (CBDs) and price negotiations.
  • Assisting purchasing in analyzing Cost Breakdowns (CBDs) and price negotiations.
  • Conducting Target Costing for purchased parts and toolings to achieve cost targets.
  • Updating and analyzing hourly rates and overhead costs for continuous improvement of cost structures.

 

Desired Profile / Criteria / Skills :

 Bachelor’s or master’s degree in industrial engineering, Business Administration, or similar field.

  • Professional 5 – 7 years of experience in cost analysis, Cost Engineering, Product Cost Management, or similar positions, preferably in the automotive industry or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing cost calculation, financial analysis, and project controlling.
  • Experience in evaluating changes and creating business cases.
  • Basic understanding of injection moulding manufacturing.
  • Willingness to engage in cross-country or cross-site reporting lines (communication in English or German).
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, including advanced Excel functions (e.g., Pivot Tables, VBA).
  • Experience with cost calculation software, preferably FACTON.
  • Analytical thinking skills and the ability to communicate complex issues clearly.
  • Teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments.
  • Negotiation skills and assertiveness in price and cost negotiations.
  • Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken
