Job Description:

Overview:

As the Management Information Systems (MIS) Executive in our manufacturing industry, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the flow of information and data within the organization. Your role will involve developing and maintaining databases, generating reports, analyzing data, and providing insights to support decision-making and improve operational efficiency. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of information to key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

1) Database Management:
Develop and maintain databases to store and organize operational data, including production data, inventory levels, sales figures, and financial information.
Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and security of data within the databases, implementing measures to prevent data loss or unauthorized access.

2) Report Generation:
Generate regular and ad-hoc reports to provide insights into key performance indicators (KPIs), operational metrics, and business performance.
Customize reports according to stakeholder requirements, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and relevance of information presented.

3) Data Analysis:
Analyze data trends, patterns, and anomalies to identify opportunities for improvement, cost savings, and operational optimization.
Conduct root cause analysis to investigate discrepancies or variances in data and recommend corrective actions as needed.

4) Dashboard Development:
Design and develop interactive dashboards and visualizations to present data in a user-friendly and actionable format.
Customize dashboards to meet the specific needs of different departments and functions, facilitating data-driven decision-making.

5) Process Automation:
Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements within MIS functions, leveraging technology and software solutions.
Implement automation tools and workflows to streamline data collection, reporting, and analysis processes.

6)Stakeholder Communication:
Communicate findings, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders, including senior management, department heads, and operational teams.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, understand business needs, and prioritize MIS initiatives accordingly.

7) Training and Support:
Provide training and support to end-users on MIS tools, systems, and processes to enhance data literacy and maximize utilization of information resources.
Serve as a subject matter expert on MIS-related matters, addressing queries, troubleshooting issues, and resolving technical problems.

8) Compliance and Governance:
Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations, industry standards, and company policies governing data management, security, and confidentiality.
Implement data governance practices to maintain data quality, consistency, and integrity across the organization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree or relevant certifications preferred.
• Min 3- 5 yrs of working exp required.
• Proven experience in MIS, data analysis, or business intelligence roles within the manufacturing industry.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and generate actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical audiences.
• Detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy, completeness, and data integrity.
