Job Description:
Position Title: Production Manager
Job Summary:
- The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the production process to ensure efficient operations and the timely delivery of high-quality products. They manage production schedules, supervise staff, and implement strategies to optimize productivity and minimize costs while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Production Planning and Scheduling:
- Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demand and production targets.
- Coordinate with sales, inventory, and procurement teams to ensure adequate materials and resources are available.
- Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to address delays or issues.

Staff Supervision and Training:
- Recruit, train, and supervise production staff.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members.
- Provide coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

Quality Control:
- Implement quality control measures to ensure products meet company standards and customer requirements.
- Monitor production processes and conduct inspections to identify and address quality issues.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to implement improvements and corrective actions.

Resource Management:
- Optimize use of resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
- Coordinate maintenance and repair of production equipment to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Evaluate and recommend investments in new technologies or equipment to improve productivity.

Cost Management:
- Develop and manage production budgets.
- Identify opportunities to reduce production costs without compromising quality or safety.
- Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving initiatives.

Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness and adherence to best practices.
- Investigate and address safety incidents or violations promptly.

Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.
- Implement Lean manufacturing principles or other methodologies to streamline workflows and reduce waste.
- Encourage innovation and creativity among production teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in production management or manufacturing leadership roles required.
- Strong knowledge of production processes, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and production management software.
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma or other relevant certifications may be advantageous.
