Job Description:
This position is responsible for Planning, maintaining & execution of payroll & related activities along with maintaining SLA levels on query resolution.
 
Payroll Processing:
  • Creation of master record database for all employees.
  • Monthly updation of salary variables i.e. Base salary, allowances, leaves without pay etc.

     Monthly Payroll processing :

  • Checking Payroll register
  • Payroll reconciliation statement (Audit trail) to reflect any changes from previous month payroll.
  • Income tax deduction at source report checking
  • Bank statement for salary transfer-monthly net salary credit advice checking
  • Professional tax report (Location wise) checking
  • Year to date payroll register  and reimbursement Register
  • F & F calculation process
  • Responsibilities of input for payroll processing & disbursement to vender.
  • Checking of summary sheet containing all earnings and deductions/ Cheque advice /Give India reports
  • Preparation of Bonus & PLI (Provision & Actual).

Provident Fund (PF):

  • Checking of monthly contribution statements cost centre wise received from vender
  • Remittance of PF contribution to Government Treasury
  • Submission of documents relating to PF transfer , withdrawal cases & Declaration and Nomination Form
  • Validating & approve records for getting PF transfer online for employees applying PF transfer from previous companies

Professional Tax (PT):

  • Checking PT contribution/return for employee & employer and responsible for timely submission of dues

Employee State Insurance (ESI):

  • Checking ESIC contribution/return w.r.t Sub codes and responsible for timely submission of dues.

Labour Welfare Fund (LWF):

  • Checking LWF contribution/return w.r.t Subcodes and responsible for timely submission of dues

Audits & Partner Management:

  • Awareness of Audit mechanism & frameworks to endure compliance
  • Engagement with Partners & stakeholders in a shared services model 

Other Statutory Compliances:

  • Timely renewal of S&E Certificates
  • Timely Renewal of Trade Licenses
  • Submission of Monthly/Qtly/Annual returns under S&E/PT/LWF/ESI/POSH etc.
  • Employment Exchange Return
  • Maternity Benefit
  • Workmen Compensation return
  • Equal Remuneration Act

     Required Qualification/Education
 

Commerce Graduate with accounting background is a must , Certification in advanced Excel is desirable

 

Note:

4-5 years experience in Payroll Processing and managing compliances at a professional setup Must have : -Knowledge on Tax computation -Proficiency in MS Excel and database management tools
