Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Engineer specializing in the construction of cross-country pipelines. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) of pipelines and be well-versed in international codes and standards. This role involves monitoring and supervising project activities, coordinating with various departments, and ensuring the successful completion of projects within the specified quality, safety, and budgetary constraints.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Compliance and Standards:

Ensure full familiarity and compliance with international codes and standards relevant to pipeline construction.

Project Monitoring and Support:

Assist the Project Manager in monitoring day-to-day project activities to achieve project targets and objectives.

Supervise the assigned project downstream team and ensure adherence to project schedules and objectives.

Design and Engineering:

Review design packages for each project phase until the issuance of IFC (Issued for Construction) design drawings and Material Take-Offs (MTOs).

Verify quantities and ensure accuracy in design documentation.

Coordination and Communication:

Coordinate with the Engineering and Procurement departments to facilitate construction processes and resolve issues.

Prepare and draft project-related letters, addressing various stakeholders effectively.

Participate in client and contractor meetings, prepare Minutes of Meetings (MOMs), and initiate resolutions for identified issues.

Planning and Scheduling:

Collaborate with the Project Manager, Planning Engineer, and Construction Manager to plan, schedule, and coordinate technical aspects of the project.

Prepare and review daily and weekly progress reports, construction two-week look-ahead plans, and report to the Construction Manager/Project Manager.

Construction Management:

Monitor and control sub-contractors' daily construction activities, ensuring compliance with Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) requirements.

Oversee all onsite and offsite project activities, including:

Planning, Scheduling, and Project Control

Engineering Management

Procurement Management

Construction Management

Sub-Contractor Management and Control

QHSE Management

Risk Management and Problem Resolution:

Identify potential risks, analyze, manage, and mitigate them effectively.

Resolve construction issues by preparing technical queries in coordination with the Project Manager, Engineering Department, and Construction Team.

Project Evaluation and Improvement:

Conduct periodic project evaluations to assess management effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.

Prepare follow-up action recommendations based on project evaluations.

Resource Management:

Supervise the selection of tools, materials, and equipment, and establish inventory tracking mechanisms.

Ensure project activities align with the project quality plan and meet contractual performance conditions.

Reporting and Documentation:

Prepare internal and external reports regarding job status and project progress.

Ensure timely and accurate documentation of project activities and communications.

Stakeholder Management:

Maintain awareness of potential interdependencies with other projects and stakeholders and their impact.

Liaise with QHSE to ensure standard compliance and foresee client requirements to provide appropriate solutions.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) of cross-country pipelines.

Strong familiarity with international codes and standards.

Excellent project management and coordination skills.

Ability to draft and manage project-related correspondence effectively.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Proficient in project planning and risk management.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
