JOB TITLE: SPIDER CONCRETE HYDRAULIC BOOM OPERATOR

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Setting up the Boom Placer:

• Positioning: Place the boom placer on stable ground, ensuring that it is level and securely supported. Activate the outriggers or stabilizers to provide additional stability and prevent tipping.
• Boom Placement: Extend and position the boom arm according to the specific requirements of the project. Consider factors such as reach, angle, and clearance to ensure optimal concrete placement.
• Hose Connection: Connect the concrete delivery hose securely to the boom arm and the concrete pump outlet. Ensure that all connections are properly tightened to prevent leakage during operation.
• Power Supply: Connect the boom placer to a reliable power source, following the manufacturer’s instructions. regulations.

2. Operating the Boom Placer:

• Communication Channels: Establish clear communication channels with other team members. Effective communication is crucial for safe and coordinated concrete placement.
• Boom Movement Control: Familiarize yourself with the boom control panel. Understand how to operate the boom arm, rotate it, and adjust its height. Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
• Concrete Pouring: When pouring concrete, maintain a steady flow and avoid sudden movements. Coordinate with the concrete pump operator to ensure precise placement.
• Safety Precautions: Be aware of your surroundings. Avoid overhead obstacles, power lines, and other hazards. Keep a safe distance from the boom’s swing radius.
• Emergency Procedures: Know how to respond in case of emergencies, such as equipment malfunction or sudden changes in concrete flow.

3. Concrete Pump Operator Responsibilities:

• Operate the boom and concrete pump to place concrete in desired locations, paying special attention to provided instructions.
