Accountant

Job Description:

The Junior Accountant will assist in managing our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. The ideal candidate will have 6 months to 1 year of accounting experience, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for numbers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports
2. Perform daily accounting tasks such as journal entries, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations
3. Support month-end and year-end closing processes
4. Assist with accounts payable and receivable functions
5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
6. Help prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations
7. Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
8. Support the senior accounting team in various projects and tasks

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
2. 6 months to 1 year of experience in an accounting role
3. Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
5. Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle)
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
7. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
9. Good communication skills, both written and verbal

Preferred Skills:

1. Experience in the packaging or manufacturing industry
2. Knowledge of financial regulations and standards
3. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
