Job Summary: The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical components and systems for our lighting products. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineering, product design, and manufacturing, to ensure the successful development and production of high-quality lighting solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and Development:
• Develop detailed mechanical designs, including 3D models and 2D drawings, for new lighting products.
• Design enclosures, heat sinks, and mounting systems to optimize product performance and aesthetics.
• Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes to meet product specifications and performance criteria.
2. Prototyping and Testing:
• Create prototypes using various fabrication methods (e.g., 3D printing, CNC machining).
• Conduct mechanical and thermal testing to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Analyze test data and make design adjustments as necessary.
3. Project Management:
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget.
• Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
4. Documentation and Compliance:
• Prepare detailed engineering documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and assembly instructions.
• Ensure products comply with relevant safety and performance standards (e.g., UL, CE, RoHS).
5. Continuous Improvement:
• Stay current with advancements in mechanical engineering practices and lighting technology.
• Identify opportunities for improving product performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience: 3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in the lighting industry.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of thermal management in lighting systems.
• Familiarity with materials science and selection.
