Job Description:

Job Summary:

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, performing audits, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting principles and excellent analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting:

    • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
    • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to management.
    • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • General Ledger Management:

    • Maintain the general ledger, including posting journal entries and reconciling accounts.
    • Perform month-end and year-end close processes.
    • Review and adjust accounting entries as needed.
  • Accounts Payable/Receivable:

    • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
    • Reconcile vendor statements and handle discrepancies.
    • Process invoices, payments, and collections efficiently.
  • Tax Compliance:

    • Prepare and file tax returns (e.g., sales tax, income tax).
    • Assist with tax audits and coordinate with external auditors.
    • Stay updated on changes in tax regulations and ensure compliance.
  • Audit and Compliance:

    • Conduct internal audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal policies.
    • Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
    • Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Financial Analysis:

    • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost reduction.
    • Provide insights and recommendations for financial decision-making.
    • Assist in financial planning and analysis activities.
  • Software and Systems:

    • Utilize accounting software and tools for financial management.
    • Maintain and update accounting systems and ensure data integrity.
    • Assist in the implementation of new accounting systems or processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) preferred.
  • Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position with standard office hours.
  • Occasional overtime may be required during peak periods.
  • Office-based with potential for remote work as needed.
