  • Participating in design reviews and technical meetings.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation or Control System Instrumentation Engineering.

Experience:

Minimum: 7 years of experience specifically in maintenance. This suggests a strong understanding of how equipment operates, fails, and is repaired.

Industry: While not explicitly stated, the knowledge of SIL, HAZOP, and specific systems like PLC & DCS point towards experience in the oil and gas industry.

Technical Skills:

Safety:

SIL (Safety Integrity Level): Ability to understand and apply safety integrity levels for equipment in hazardous environments.

HAZOP (Hazard and Operability Study): Knowledge of HAZOP methodology for identifying and mitigating potential hazards in a process.

Control Systems:

PLC (Programmable Logic Controller): Understanding of programming and troubleshooting PLCs used for industrial automation.

DCS (Distributed Control System): Familiarity with DCS systems that monitor and control industrial processes.

Hazardous Area Classification: Knowledge of industry standards for classifying hazardous areas based on the risk of explosion.

Overall, this RIS Engineer role requires a blend of engineering knowledge, maintenance experience, and expertise in safety protocols and control systems specific to the oil and gas industry.
