Job Description:
We are looking for a Senior Accountant with a minimum of 4-6 years of experience in accounting and finance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting tasks, preparing financial reports, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations, and providing financial insights to support business decisions. This role requires excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounting Functions:
- Record financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments, in the accounting software.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records, ledgers, and journals.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for management review.
- Tax Compliance:
- Calculate and deduct TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) as per applicable rates and ensure timely payment to the government.
- Prepare and file GST returns, including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and annual returns, in compliance with GST regulations.
- Handle Professional Tax (PT) compliance, including registration, deductions, and payment.
- Financial Analysis:
- Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights and recommendations for improving financial performance.
- Monitor variances and discrepancies and take corrective actions as necessary.
- Vendor and Customer Management: Reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Liaise with vendors and customers to resolve billing and payment issues.
- Audit Support:
- Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
- Implement audit recommendations and improve internal controls as needed.
