Replacing vehicle engines, steering systems, gearboxes and braking systems, among other things. inspecting the lighting systems of automobiles. test-driving automobiles to evaluate their performance. carrying out preventative maintenance on service trucks.
- Inspects and repairs vehicles with diesel engines.
- Handles routine repairs, including oil and tire changes.
- Interprets diagnostic test results accurately.
- Writes detailed inspection reports and repair plans.
- Hires, trains, and manages a team of trainees.
- Collaborates with other diesel mechanics.
