Job Description:
A Mechanical Shift Incharge (DRI - Direct Reduced Iron) in a sponge iron plant is responsible for overseeing and managing the mechanical aspects of the plant's operations during a specific shift. This includes ensuring the smooth and safe operation of all mechanical equipment, maintaining the plant's mechanical infrastructure, and coordinating with maintenance teams to address any issues. They also play a key role in supervising and mentoring shift personnel, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and optimizing plant performance.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervision and Coordination:Overseeing the mechanical aspects of the DRI plant during a specific shift, ensuring smooth and efficient operation of all equipment.

Safety Compliance:Ensuring adherence to safety regulations and procedures, promoting a safe working environment for all personnel.

Maintenance Management:Coordinating with maintenance teams to address equipment issues, schedule repairs, and perform preventative maintenance.

Production Optimization:Monitoring production parameters, adjusting processes as needed to maintain quality and efficiency, and troubleshooting operational problems.

Personnel Management:Leading and mentoring shift team members, providing training, and conducting performance evaluations.

Reporting and Documentation:Ensuring accurate and timely reporting of production data, incidents, and maintenance activities.

Emergency Response:Handling emergencies and troubleshooting operational problems efficiently and effectively.

Collaboration:Working with other departments to optimize overall plant performance and ensure seamless operations.
