Job Description:
Position - Academic Coordinator
Experience - Relevant 1-2 Yr; Teaching: 4-5 Yr
Qualification - B.Ed, PG Science/English
CTC - 4.2 L - 4.3 L Per Annum
Please note that this is a class-based role. The successful candidate will teach 30% of the teaching load of a full-time class teacher. An academic coordinator oversees and coordinates various academic activities and programs within an educational institution.
Knowledge and experience ● Minimum five years teaching experience ● Minimum 1-2 years’ Academic Coordinator Experience ● Knowledge and experience of how to use ICT effectively in promoting student learning ● Previous experience or knowledge of working with students for whom English is not their first language
Leading Teaching, Learning, and Assessment • Set a model of excellence in classroom practice • Liaise with colleagues across the school to ensure a smooth transition of pupils about curriculum provision • Track student progress, and monitor standards of learning and teaching to set realistic academic targets for pupils
The academic Coordinator role involves supporting and ensuring the smooth functioning of academic operations, facilitating communication between faculty, students, and administrators, and assisting in curriculum development and implementation. Academic coordinators assist students in resolving academic issues and connecting them with appropriate resources and support services.
Other Role: Provide professional leadership. Assist the Head of School. Lead on pedagogical initiatives and approaches. Lead on pupil progress and tracking systems in core subject areas. Establish, evaluate, and develop the academic aims and standards of the Maths, English, Social Science, and Science curriculum and assessment. Keep up to date with changes and initiatives in education viz. NCF, HPC, SAFAL, SQAAF

Wider responsibilities ● Build strong relationships with parents and assist in the coordination and delivery of parent curriculum meetings and/or workshops as appropriate ● Lead staff workshops, training, and curriculum-orientated CPD
Here are some key responsibilities and tasks associated with the role of an academic coordinator:
Curriculum Development: Collaborating with faculty members and subject matter experts to develop and review academic curricula.
This includes identifying learning objectives, selecting appropriate instructional materials, and ensuring alignment with educational standards and NCF
Course Scheduling: Planning and organizing course schedules for each academic term
This involves coordinating with faculty members, considering student enrollment and faculty availability, and ensuring a balanced and efficient timetable
Evaluation and Assessment: Collaborating with faculty and administration to evaluate the effectiveness of academic programs. This involves collecting and analyzing data, conducting assessments, and recommending program improvements based on feedback and evaluation results.
