Maintenance Manager for a leading Heavy Engineering company

Job Description:

• Diploma in Mechanical engineering, Bachelors degree in Engineering, Maintenance Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in maintenance management within an engineering or fabrication unit.
• Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans for all machinery and equipment.
• Schedule routine and preventive maintenance activities to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
• Coordinate with production managers to align maintenance schedules with production needs.
• Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of maintenance technicians.
• Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the skills and knowledge of the maintenance team.
• Evaluate team performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Ensure all machinery and equipment are in optimal working condition.
• Oversee the repair and maintenance of building facilities, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Maintain an inventory of spare parts and tools necessary for maintenance activities.
• Enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to equipment and facility maintenance.
• Develop and manage the maintenance department budget.
• Monitor expenses and ensure cost-effective maintenance practices.
• Prepare and present budget reports to senior management.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.
• Utilize data and metrics to evaluate maintenance performance and drive improvements.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
• Collaborate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance tasks.
• Negotiate contracts and ensure the timely delivery of services.
