Key Responsibilities

  • Promote and support the principles and standards of Enterprise Architecture aligned with the organizations strategy through sound decisions and planning of the optimal architecture for Rapid Response solutions, the architectural design, development, and deployment
  • Recommend technology investment decisions or alternative architecture options based on benefit/drawback analysis and evaluation to drive targeted business outcomes while ensuring nonfunctional requirements are met
  • Implement recommended architecture changes throughout area of responsibility
  • Keep up-to-date with possible new architectures that will increase performance and/or capacity
  • Gather relevant information from varied and credible sources on a specific topic
  • Provide Technical thought leadership to design and develop solutions to meet both business and technology requirements to deliver our strategic initiatives.
  • Support functional workstreams in refining requirements to complete gap assessments versus existing solutions, inform, consult and develop solutions to technical problems by challenging traditional technical assumptions on creative design approaches and plans while maintaining best practices.
  • Review and approve design solutions to ensure that the configuration of Rapid Response interfaces, data models, analytics and customizations, supports the business process requirements with focus on innovation
  • Act as liaison between the business stakeholders and technical developers to transform and develop requirements into designs, development approaches, and implementation
  • Work closely with Integration teams to ensure successful data migration from different ERP Source systems to Kinaxis and vice versa
  • Create, document, train and consult the data cleansing, harmonization, and transformation rules processes.
  • Perform Data readiness assessment, data cleansing, harmonization & transformation rules to ensure the successful implementation and remediation (for new ERPs, new acquisitions, sites, etc) of Rapid Response ensuring that the solution is producing the expected results
  • Lead estimation efforts, working with architects to scope and business to prioritize
  • Consult on testing strategy with functional workstream leads and crossfunctional team for strategic projects. Support technical and UAT testing aligned with testing strategy.
  • Provide support on issues before, during, and after deployment and partner to identify long term solutions, reducing system/integration instability.Troubleshoot, diagnose, and recognize possible or existing architectural problem areas and determine ways to effectively control and resolve them
  • Architecturally consult and support regional, divisional, functional projects and initiatives including working with workstream leads to develop functional roadmap accounting for new solution capabilities and sustaining projects (i.e. system upgrades)
  • Support and strengthen technical knowledge base across the organization including maintaining documentation and delivering communications and/or training to GSC Planning COE RR Support team members and highly integrated partners
  • Support our system administration, analysts and technical support team in resolving user system and process issues. Lead the team through scoping and prioritizing technical solutions that will help us ensure scalability for the future.
  • Foster a community of supply chain planning COE that shares best practices and drives innovative ideas for further improving our planning processes.
  • Establish and support a work environment of continuous improvement that supports BSC’s Quality Policy, Quality System and appropriate regulations for the areas supported.
  • Approve technical path and implementation as part of formal validation process

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Business, IS or related fields.
  • Master’s degree in IS, statistics, mathematics, economics or related field
  • 10+ years in system design, development, configuration, and data modeling
  • 10+ of in Supply Chain planning and strong knowledge of concurrent planning systems, integrations (SAP) and Rapid Response
  • 5+ years of people management experience
  • 2+ years architecture experience
  • Recognize depth of knowledge in Rapid Response Supply chain planning architecture domain.
  • Proficiency in organizing information effectively for presentation
  • Able to communicate architectural concepts to IT and non-IT audiences
  • Highly adaptable, flexible and willing to accept new ideas, processes, and procedures
  • Strong project management and leadership skills
  • Strong analytical problem solving skills
  • Detail oriented and organized. Performs to a high level of accuracy in all tasks
  • The job requires 10% travel to visit BSC manufacturing sites.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in the medical device or life sciences industry.
  • Understand key milestones for realistic progress towards a target future state
