Job Description:

Office Timing - US Shift - 4/5 PM to 2/3 AM

About the role

This position will work within the Asset Management team, which is responsible for the technical management of a growing portfolio of distributed generation projects located across the United States. This position reports to the Director of Operations & Maintenance. As a Work Management Specialist at GSPP, you will be responsible for all aspects of work management as it pertains to the operations & maintenance of solar facilities. Your work will help to improve the overall reliability, availability and performance of our assets. You will collaborate closely with O&M Contractors, internal O&M team members, project managers, and business stakeholders to conceptualize, develop and implement a best-in-class work management system and conduct expense variance analysis.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Daily review and update of all work orders (WO) created by O&M service providers.
  • Work with the Asset Management and O&M teams to prioritize and direct the work of contractors.
  • Track and manage the backlog of WOs for each O&M provider, striving to minimize open work orders.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all work management-related activities.
  • Support accounts payable, including classification of expenses and reconciliation with accounting departments.
  • Perform onboarding activities such as data collection, audit, document management and configuration of the systems by using DAS and company’s ERP.
  • Conduct O&M expense variance analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Assist in preparing written reports, presentation materials, and other project deliverables.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Basic Qualifications

  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Associate’s degree in business / engineering or 2 years of equivalent work experience.
  • Proficiency in Excel and /or Smartsheet capabilities.
  • Knowledge of solar PV and electrical systems.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Desire to advance within the organization.
  • Experience with solar DAS (Data Acquisitions Systems), preferably Also Energy Power Track.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and night shifts as needed.

The ideal candidate will have

  • Experience with work management systems.
  • Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • The ability to create dashboards in Smartsheet or Power Bi or similar.
