Job Description:

Job Title: Quality Coordinator

Location: Dubai

Experience: 2 to 3 years

Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering

Salary: 4000 AED

 

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (K.P.A.s) & RESPONSIBILITIES

Quality Control Support

  • Assist in developing and implementing quality control processes and procedures to ensure product quality.

Product Inspections

  • Conduct product inspections to verify conformity to specifications, standards, and quality requirements.

Non-Conformance Resolution

  • Receive and record suppliers' non-conformance issues.
  • Resolve quality-related suppliers' non-conformance by discussing with suppliers, purchasers, and expeditors.
  • Differentiate between internal and external error sources before approaching suppliers for resolution.

Quantity Related Non-Conformance

  • Identify quantity-related suppliers' non-conformance and communicate these to purchasers for resolution with suppliers.

Testing and Certification

  • Participate in product testing, including destructive and non-destructive testing, and ensure the issuance of required quality certificates.

Technical Documentation Preparation

  • Collaborate with expeditors to check for technical documentation requirements in sales order files.
  • Prepare job-specific Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) if internal technical documents are required.
  • Obtain lab testing procedures from the laboratory and send them for customer approval if needed.

Supplier Collaboration

  • Work with suppliers to understand quality expectations, participate in supplier audits, and monitor supplier performance.

Documentation and Records

  • Maintain records of quality control activities, inspection results, and certifications.

Technical Documentation for Customer Approval

  • Obtain necessary technical documentation from suppliers for customer approval before manufacturing.
  • Track all documents needing customer approval and ensure they are approved before material production.

Third-Party Inspections (TPI)

  • Arrange TPI at the organization's end for material from stock requiring inspections.
  • Ensure all material complies with customer requirements before inspection and receive IRC from TPI.
  • Coordinate with the mill to resolve any non-conformance during inspection.

Quality Reporting

  • Assist in preparing quality control reports for review by the Quality Control Manager and senior management.

Defect Analysis

  • Support investigations and analysis of product defects or non-conformities, and assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions.

Client Interaction

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their quality requirements, address inquiries, and ensure quality compliance.

Training and Development

  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance quality control skills.

Continuous Improvement Initiatives

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Resource Support

  • Provide support in managing resources, equipment, and personnel required for quality control activities.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Additional responsibilities may be delegated by management as needed.
