Job Description :

Job Title: Country Head - Chemical and Polymers

Location: Tanzania

Salary: Up to $6,000 USD per month

Position Type: Permanent, Full-time

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Country Head with a background in Chemicals and Polymers to lead our operations in Tanzania. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the industry, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to drive business growth in a competitive market.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Leadership:
• Develop and implement business strategies to achieve company goals and objectives.
• Provide leadership and direction to all operational aspects of the business in Tanzania.
• Monitor and analyze market trends and competitors to identify opportunities and threats.
2. Operational Management:
• Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in all business processes.
• Manage resources, including personnel, budget, and assets, to optimize performance.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies.
3. Business Development:
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the company's presence in the Tanzanian market.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and government authorities.
• Lead negotiations and close deals to drive revenue growth.
4. Financial Oversight:
• Develop and manage the annual budget, ensuring financial targets are met.
• Monitor financial performance and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Prepare regular financial reports for senior management.
5. Team Leadership:
• Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Set performance targets and conduct regular performance reviews.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the Chemicals and Polymers industry, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
• Proven track record of successfully leading and growing a business.
• Strong understanding of the Tanzanian market and regulatory environment.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and make strategic decisions.
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of Swahili is an advantage.
