Job Description:

Position Overview: As the Talend Acquisition Manager, you will be responsible for leading and executing strategic initiatives related to mergers and acquisitions (M&A) for Talend, a leader in data integration and integrity solutions. You will play a crucial role in identifying potential acquisition targets, negotiating deals, and integrating acquired entities into Talend’s business ecosystem. This position requires a deep understanding of the tech industry, strong financial acumen, and exceptional negotiation skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Planning:

    • Develop and implement the M&A strategy aligned with Talend’s overall business objectives.
    • Identify and prioritize potential acquisition targets based on strategic fit, market trends, and growth opportunities.
  2. Deal Execution:

    • Lead end-to-end transaction processes including due diligence, valuation, and negotiation.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (legal, finance, HR, etc.) to ensure smooth execution of deals.
    • Negotiate terms and conditions to achieve favorable outcomes for Talend.
  3. Integration Management:

    • Develop integration plans and oversee post-acquisition integration processes.
    • Ensure alignment of acquired entities with Talend’s culture, policies, and operational frameworks.
    • Monitor integration progress and address any challenges or issues that arise.
  4. Relationship Management:

    • Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including potential targets, advisors, and industry experts.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to garner support and alignment for acquisition strategies.
  5. Market Analysis:

    • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, competitive landscape, and potential opportunities for acquisitions.
    • Stay informed about industry developments and regulatory changes that may impact M&A activities.
  6. Reporting and Analysis:

    • Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on M&A pipeline, progress, and outcomes.
    • Analyze financial and operational data to assess the impact of acquisitions on Talend’s business performance.
