Job Description:

Roles and Responsibilities

Individual will be responsible for all financial aspects of the organization's main and affiliated
businesses including Accounting, Financial Controls, Treasury, Taxation, Accounts Payable, Accounts
Receivable and risk management.
Individual will also be responsible for conducting continuous/ongoing analysis of the financial
performance of the business.
Individual should have great exposure in MIS, Monitoring, Reporting, Presenting, Analysis, Decision
Making for Project Evaluation & Implementation.

Manage:
 Accounting division, mentor, guide and nurture its team members
 Vendor enrolment and accounts payable process
 Restricted cash accounts and ensure full reimbursement from lender
 Regulatory audits to minimize negative impact
 End of month closing process to ensure completeness and accuracy
 Managing cash flow.
 Building an accounting department as the company grows.
Prepare & Maintain:
 Effectively establish, implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures
 Set up new entities in the accounting process
 Assist in preparation of annual hotel budgets
 Complete adjusting journal entries
 Prepare balance sheet reconciliation workbooks monthly
 Complete end of year closing and tax preparation with CPA partner
 Bank reconciliations
 Bookkeeping for non-hotel entities in QuickBooks
 Construction accounting
 Fixed asset records and depreciation schedules
 Create Excel templates used by the accounting department
 Clear documentation of all major resolutions
 Good relations with investors and outside parties such as lenders and regulatory agencies
Monitor & Implement:
 Monitor tax compliance and file sales/use and hotel taxes monthly
 Implement new technology (integration with accounting software)

 Troubleshoot MIS-postings in property management systems
 Provide training on accounting matters to hotel managers
 Effectively resolve disputes with vendors and other providers over the phone
 Ensure adequate controls are implemented and maintained for the protection of assets
against loss or misappropriation
 Directing all aspects of accounting operations, overseeing all transactions related to general
ledger, receivables, payables, payroll and financial reporting.
 Analysing company's financial results with respect to profits, trends, costs and compliance
with budgets. Issue regular status and ad hoc reports to senior management.
 Providing strategic guidance around capital financing options to support company growth
needs.
Desired Candidate Profile
Technical:

 Must have Master’s degree in Accounting and CA
 Advanced computer skills and experience in Quick Books and Microsoft Excel
 10 years plus accounting experience preferred
 Organized and self-motivated team leader with in-depth knowledge of the hotel industry
 Excellent verbal and written communication skills
 Strong attention to detail
 Excellent verbal and written communication skills and proficiency in computer applications
and accounting systems
