Job Description:

The Senior Application Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing software solutions to address complex business problems. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to understand business requirements, translating them into technical specifications, and ensuring the architecture aligns with the company’s strategic goals. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in application development, a strong understanding of architectural principles, and the ability to lead technical teams.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Architectural Design
• Design and develop application architectures that are scalable, robust, and align with business goals.
• Create architectural blueprints, diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Ensure architectural integrity and consistency across all projects.
2. Technology Evaluation and Selection
• Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to ensure the highest quality product platform.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
• Perform proof-of-concept work to validate the feasibility of new technologies and solutions.
3. Project Leadership
• Lead and mentor development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with project managers to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
• Ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
4. Collaboration and Communication
• Work closely with business analysts, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand business needs.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and designs.
• Communicate architectural decisions and trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
5. Quality Assurance
• Establish and enforce best practices for application development, including coding standards, testing, and deployment.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to architectural standards.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the project lifecycle.
6. Performance Optimization
• Ensure applications are optimized for performance, scalability, and security.
• Monitor application performance and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Implement and maintain performance testing and monitoring solutions.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in application development and architecture.
• Proven experience in leading and mentoring technical teams.
• Skills:
• Strong understanding of architectural patterns (e.g., microservices, SOA, MVC).
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript.
• Experience with front-end frameworks (e.g., Angular, React) and back-end frameworks (e.g., Spring, .NET).
• Knowledge of database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications such as TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect are a plus.
