Job Description:

We have an urgent opening for the position  of Accountant for a reputed company in Real Estate industry at Navi Mumbai  location.


Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge and experience in income tax, GST, TDS/TCS, RERA compliance and day-to-day accounting using Tally software.

Responsibilities :

1. Income Tax Management :

  • Stay updated with the latest income tax policies and regulations.
  • Analyze income tax implications and ensure compliance with relevant laws.
  • Prepare and file income tax returns accurately and on time.
  • Liaise with external tax consultants as needed.



2. GST Compliance :

  • Manage GST registration, invoicing, and filing of GST returns.
  • Monitor changes in GST policies and regulations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of GST returns.
  • Handle GST audits and inquiries from tax authorities.



3. TDS/TCS Management :

  • Handle deduction and deposit of TDS/TCS as per applicable rates.
  • Prepare and file TDS/TCS returns in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Reconcile TDS/TCS liabilities and ensure timely payments.



4. Day-to-Day Accounting :

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records using Tally software.
  • Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Reconcile bank statements and accounts receivable/payable.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis as needed.
  • Finalization of books of account ledger sanity.
  • Assistance to Auditors

 

5. RERA Compliance : (Preferable But Optional)

Preparing RERA data for filling out the RERA application.
Preparing data for RERA quarterly compliance for existing RERA registered projects.
Knowledge of RERA law and regulations.


6. Compliance and Reporting :

  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
  • Prepare financial reports and analysis for management review.
  • Assist in internal and external audits.
  • Support the finance team in ad-hoc projects and tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Inter CA qualifier/Inter CA with at least 1 year cleared (equivalent in final year preferred).
  • Minimum 6 or above years of proven experience as an accountant or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to details.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.
