Job Description:

Job Profile: Technical Sign Off on Projects, Handling a Team, Customer Support, Training, Project Management, Technical Head Equipment/application; Marine Engines, Oil and Gas Engines, Ship Repair, Shipyard Services, Diesel Engines, Gas Engines, 

 

Purpose and Value Proposition of the Role

  • This is a very pivotal role by being the technical authority for all teams, managing the technical accuracy of sites, spearheading people development initiatives and capability building.
  • This role is critical in ensuring the growth and success of the organisation by nurturing talent, enhancing capabilities, and identifying opportunities for business expansion.
  • Lead Team of Project Engineers who will support the Sales and operations team for technical matters throughout the entire enquiry to invoice workflow. ● Working with Customers to understand scope, validating parts list, documenting Technical Requirements, validation Work Completion Reports of the project keeping in mind Neptunus’ philosophy of optimising parts list. This will ensure no rework and errors. ● Provide guidance and decisions on technical issues to all functions across client offerings- Engine models such as CAT, MAN, Wartsila, Niigata, EMD engines, different thruster models such as Nakashima, Kawasaki, Niigata and technology products such as Engine Condition Monitoring System, Oil Quality Management Systems.
  • Work on corrective actions from past learnings, site debrief and customer interactions so that “Quick Service” can become a competitive advantage. ● Build capability through upgradation, adoption and training of technology and tools such as Condition Monitoring Systems.
  • Design and execute training and development programs to enhance skills and competencies of Service Team members based on competency framework ● Establish and monitor career development plans for Service Team members, providing them with growth opportunities within the organisation. ● Hire and onboard fresh talent so that there is constantly a pipeline of fresh ideas, skill and perspectives within the team and strong succession planning
  • Evaluate and integrate potential suppliers, capabilities, and partnerships to enhance our service offerings ● Stay updated on the latest advancements in engineering, marine, oil & gas, industrial, and defence sector and bring ideas to the table
  • The role does not include any logistical, coordination, pricing and commercial related matters related to regular site deputation. This is handled by the Service operations and commercial operations team.
