Job Title: HR Executive

Location: 20C Hazra Road, Kolkata 700 026, West Bengal, India

Reports To: Nishita Jajodia Jhawar

 

Job Summary:

As the sole HR Executive in the company, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of human resources for a team of 30 employees. Your role will be crucial in maintaining a positive work environment, ensuring compliance with labour laws, and supporting the growth and development of the organization. You will oversee recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and training and development while also handling payroll and benefits administration.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Recruitment and Onboarding:
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, and selection.
  • Conduct new employee orientations and ensure a smooth onboarding process.
  • Develop and maintain job descriptions for all positions.
  1. Employee Relations:
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns, grievances, and conflicts, ensuring they are resolved in a fair and timely manner.
  • Promote a positive workplace culture and foster employee engagement through various initiatives.
  • Organize regular employee feedback sessions and surveys.
  1. Performance Management:
  • Oversee the performance appraisal process, including setting performance goals, monitoring progress, and providing feedback.
  • Work with managers to develop performance improvement plans when necessary.
  • Implement and monitor reward and recognition programs.
  1. Training and Development:
  • Identify training needs and coordinate relevant training programs for employees.
  • Facilitate leadership and skill development programs to support employee growth.
  • Track and measure the effectiveness of training initiatives.
  1. Compliance and Record Keeping:
  • Ensure compliance with labour laws and regulations, including maintaining up-to-date HR policies and procedures.
  • Manage employee records, including contracts, attendance, and leave records.
  • Handle disciplinary actions in accordance with company policy.
  1. Payroll and Benefits Administration:
  • Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal requirements.
  • Administer employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
  • Keep track of employee attendance and manage leave applications.
  1. HR Strategy and Planning:
  • Work with senior management to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Conduct workforce planning and provide insights on staffing needs.
  • Monitor HR metrics and provide regular reports to management.
  1. Health and Safety:
  • Ensure the workplace is safe and compliant with health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
  • Promote a culture of safety within the organization.
  1. Employee Engagement and Retention:
  • Develop and implement initiatives to improve employee satisfaction and retention.
  • Organize company events, team-building activities, and other engagement programs.
  • Monitor employee turnover rates and develop strategies to reduce attrition.
  1. HR Systems and Technology:
  • Manage HR software and systems to ensure efficient operations.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee information and ensure data protection.

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in HR, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Strong knowledge of labour laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in HR software, Microsoft Office & Google Drive.
