Job Description:

Major Objectives of the Job:

The Service Engineer will play a critical role in performing testing and commissioning of electrical equipment. This position is responsible for managing end-to-end service management to ensure all services meet customer expectations while adhering to scope, cost, schedule, compliance, quality, resource management, and overall profitability aligned with business objectives.

Reporting Relationships:

  • Reporting To: Operations Manager

Working Relationships:

  • Customers: Utility customers including ARAMCO, SABIC, MAADEN, etc.
  • Principals/Suppliers: In-house Electrical Services

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Customer & Market Finance & Impact
  • Ensure services are delivered on time, on budget, and meet specified project requirements.
  • Achieve financial metrics as per budget (≥100%).
  • Maintain complete service documentation for project health checks.
  • Obtain business client sign-off on customer acceptance forms.
  • Ensure operational/support teams formally accept service outputs into a ‘live environment’.
  • Manage customer payment cycles (ACP ≤ 60 days or as per customer PO).
  • Facilitate supplier payments as per agreed terms and conditions.
  • Collect and analyze customer feedback throughout project phases.
  1. Service Management Process
  • Deliver timely service reporting/documentation to customers.
  • Clearly address and communicate risks and issues to relevant stakeholders.
  • Log and capture resource hours for each project.
  1. Project Human Resources Management
  • Manage resources in line with service budget and performance standards.
  • Address poor performance early and ensure all staff receive regular training on project management skills.
  • Select contractors/subcontractors using a defendable process.
  1. Process & Innovation
  • Conduct service reviews at the end of each project phase or service contract.
  • Document lessons learned and share best practices with the project team.
  1. Process Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with company values, policies, and local statutory requirements.
  • Maintain adherence to ethical standards and safety protocols, aiming for zero incidents.
  1. Self-Development
  • Complete a minimum of one self-development training and one project management-related training per annual performance review cycle.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Financial adherence and project completion metrics.
  • Timeliness and quality of service documentation.
  • Customer satisfaction scores collected monthly.
  • Risk assessment and mitigation plan timelines.
  • Compliance metrics regarding safety and ethical conduct.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Proven 5 – 7 years of experience in testing and commissioning of electrical equipment, specifically transformers.
  • Strong project management skills and experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
