Job Description:

Job Overview:

We are looking for a proactive and hands-on Café Manager who will oversee the daily operations of the café and also manage a variety of additional administrative and operational tasks. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills, customer service orientation, and the ability to multitask across different functions to ensure smooth business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Café Operations Management

  • Oversee day-to-day café activities (service, hygiene, opening & closing procedures).

  • Ensure high-quality food, beverages, and service standards.

  • Plan staff schedules and manage shifts.

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.

2. Customer Service

  • Greet and engage with customers to ensure excellent experience.

  • Handle customer feedback, queries, and complaints professionally.

  • Maintain a friendly and welcoming café environment.

3. Team Leadership & Training

  • Supervise and motivate team members.

  • Conduct regular training on service, menu knowledge, and SOPs.

  • Maintain staff discipline and performance standards.

4. Inventory & Vendor Management

  • Monitor stock levels of raw materials and supplies.

  • Place and follow up on orders with vendors.

  • Control wastage and maintain cost efficiency.

5. Sales & Financial Monitoring

  • Track daily sales and prepare basic reports.

  • Assist in setting sales targets and promotional activities.

  • Handle cash management and payment reconciliation.

6. Miscellaneous / Administrative Responsibilities

  • Coordinate maintenance and repairs (equipment, interiors, utilities).

  • Handle basic paperwork, documentation, and reporting.

  • Manage licenses, renewals, and compliance documentation.

  • Coordinate with other departments (HR, Accounts, Marketing).

  • Assist in event planning or special café activities.

  • Support management in any ad-hoc operational tasks.


Skills & Competencies Required:

  • Strong leadership & people management

  • Excellent communication and customer service

  • Multitasking and problem-solving ability

  • Basic understanding of finance and inventory control

  • Attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Proficiency in MS Office or POS systems (preferred)
