Job Description:

Position:         Fire Officer

Location:        Mundra

Experience:     7 - 10 Years

Industries:      Chemical

 Responsibilities:  

  • Responsible to fully understand companies HSE policy & perform to comply the same.
  • Responsible to follow & adhere to the General Safety rules of the company as applicable. 
  • Responsible for identification, reporting, correcting & eliminating unsafe conditions & actions.
  • Responsible for reporting Accidents/Incidents/Near misses within the department & premises.
  • Responsible for maintaining Fire & Safety equipments in ready to use condition all the time.
  • Responsible to carry out periodic inspections/checking of fire & safety equipments and transportation vehicles as per the schedule.
  • Responsible to issue & ensure compliance of Work permit system as applicable.
  • Responsible for maintaining & ensuring good housekeeping within the department as well as in the premises.
  • Responsible to perform individual role as per the “On Site Emergency plan”
  • Responsible for conducting basic firefighting trainings to all the employees and actively participate in periodical Mock drills.
  • Expertise in operating fire detection equipment, alarm systems and fire extinguishing devices and systems.
  • Ensure that the modification, installation, maintenance and operation of fire protection systems.
  • Inspect and test, fire protection or fire detection systems to verify that such systems are installed in accordance with appropriate laws, codes, regulations and standards.
  • Responsible for maintaining monthly stock of PPEs and Spares of fire and safety equipments and ensure that the fire and safety equipments purchased are of standard make.
  • Ensure all employees attend training classes on fire prevention, safety and firefighting procedures.
  • Attend workshops and seminars to obtain information regarding fire prevention equipment and techniques, fire code, standard interpretation & compliance and fire prevention & protection.
  • Responsible for maintaining update documentation w r t Fire and Safety i.e. inspection check lists/reports/test certificates etc.
  • Responsible to assist functional head on day to day basis on EHS activities.

 

Required Skills:

  • Candidate must be knowledgeable experts in their field and possess excellent communication skills in order to maintain fire safety and adequately educate others.
  • The candidate should have overall knowledge of the industrial safety, Fire and Safety equipment as per OHSAS 18001 standards.

 

Required Qualification: - Diploma/B.Sc/B.E/B.Tech - Fire & Safety

Salary :-  Upto 9.00 LPA
