Job Title: Warranty Incharge (Automobile)
Department: Service/Aftersales
Job Summary:
The Warranty Incharge is responsible for managing and administering warranty claims for automobile dealerships/service centers. This role ensures compliance with manufacturer warranty policies, procedures, and guidelines, and optimizes warranty recovery for the dealership.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative:
  • Review and verify warranty claims for accuracy and completeness.
  • Process and submit warranty claims to manufacturers in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of warranty claims, including documentation and correspondence.
  • Monitor and track warranty claim status, ensuring prompt resolution.
Technical:
  • Interpret warranty policies, procedures, and guidelines from manufacturers.
  • Conduct technical reviews of warranty claims to ensure legitimacy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with service technicians to resolve technical issues related to warranty claims.
  • Stay up-to-date with manufacturer technical bulletins, updates, and changes.
Financial:
  • Analyze and manage warranty recovery rates to optimize dealership profitability.
  • Monitor and control warranty claim expenses, ensuring adherence to budget.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce warranty costs and improve efficiency.
Customer Service:
  • Communicate with customers regarding warranty claims, providing timely updates and resolution.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction with warranty claim outcomes.
  • Address customer concerns and resolve issues promptly.
Manufacturer Relations:
  • Build and maintain relationships with manufacturer warranty representatives.
  • Ensure compliance with manufacturer warranty audit requirements.
  • Participate in manufacturer training programs to stay current on warranty policies.
Other Responsibilities:
  • Train service staff on warranty procedures and policies.
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure warranty claim accuracy and compliance.
  • Develop and implement processes to improve warranty claim efficiency.
