Job Description:

Responsibilities:

 

1. Product Development:

o Collaborate with designers and buyers to understand garment requirements and specifications.

o Source fabrics, trims, and accessories while negotiating prices with suppliers.

o Create and monitor tech packs (detailed product specifications) for sampling and production.

 

2. Order Management:

o Manage and process orders from buyers, ensuring clarity of product details, quantities, and delivery schedules.

o Coordinate with suppliers and production teams to ensure all requirements are met on time.

o Track the status of orders from development through production to final shipment.

 

3. Vendor Communication:

o Liaise with manufacturers, fabric suppliers, and accessory vendors to ensure all components are available for production.

o Resolve any production issues related to fabric quality, stitching, or finishing during the manufacturing process.

 

4. Quality Control:

o Conduct regular quality checks and inspections during different production stages.

o Ensure products meet both the buyer’s specifications and the brand’s quality standards.

 

5. Logistics & Coordination:

o Coordinate shipping logistics and handle export documentation to ensure timely delivery of goods.

o Work closely with the warehouse and logistics teams to ensure smooth dispatch and delivery to clients.

 

6. Cost & Time Management:

o Monitor production costs and budgets, negotiating with suppliers and vendors to ensure profitability.

o Manage timelines to avoid delays and ensure on-time delivery.

 

7. Market Research & Trend Analysis:

o Stay updated on fashion trends, consumer preferences, and competitive market analysis.

o Offer insights and suggestions to buyers based on market trends and manufacturing capabilities.

 

8. Inventory & Stock Management:

o Monitor stock levels of raw materials and finished goods to ensure sufficient inventory for ongoing and future production.

 

Skills & Qualifications:

 

· Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Textile Engineering, or a related field.

· Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and the overall production process.

· Excellent communication and negotiation skills to work with both buyers and suppliers.

· Proficiency in using relevant software tools such as MS Office, ERP systems, and CAD (for design teams).

· Ability to multitask and manage time effectively to handle multiple orders simultaneously.

· Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills to ensure quality and timely delivery.


Experience:

· 2+ years of experience in garment merchandising, apparel production, or a related role.

· Knowledge of export-import procedures and international trade regulations is an added advantage.
