Role Overview:
The BD Manager for Educational/International Sales is responsible for driving growth, acquiring new business, and expanding the company's footprint in educational sectors or international markets. The role involves identifying potential clients, building strong relationships, and ensuring successful collaboration with educational institutions, academic partners, and international stakeholders. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of the education industry, international sales strategies, and customer relationship management.
Key Deliverables:
- Develop and implement business development strategies to meet and exceed sales targets in the educational and international markets.
- Identify new market opportunities, assess customer needs, and tailor solutions to fit clients within the educational sector or global markets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, product development) to align offerings with market demand.
- Achieve revenue goals by developing and managing key relationships with educational institutions (schools, colleges, universities) or international clients.
- Negotiate and close deals, ensuring long-term client relationships and repeat business. • Manage the sales cycle from prospecting to closing with a focus on driving consistent revenue growth.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor analysis, and potential business opportunities within the education and international sales sectors.
- Stay informed of industry changes, technological advancements, and global sales practices. • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders within the education and international market.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client needs, resolving challenges, and ensuring successful project execution.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales executives to achieve collective and individual sales goals.
- Provide guidance, training, and performance evaluations to drive team success. • Explore and develop opportunities for expanding into international markets, including travel to international conferences, trade shows, and potential client meetings.
- Understand international trade laws, export regulations, and market-specific requirements for educational products or services.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. MBA or equivalent is preferred.
- 3 years of experience in business development, sales, or international market expansion, preferably within the educational sector.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong understanding of the educational industry, learning management systems, ed-tech, or relevant products.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a sales team. • Ability to travel internationally as needed.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
