An Office Assistant's responsibilities include taking calls from customers and delivering messages while also using basic office equipment like faxes or scanners.

They help maintain files to keep track of important documents, organize travel arrangements, manage supply inventory and perform data entry as required.

Responsible for assisting Accountants with basic bookkeeping and accounting tasks.

Their duties include reconciling bank records, drafting financial documents and invoicing customers or collecting payments.

An office assistant's responsibilities include a wide range of tasks that help keep an office running smoothly, such as: 
 
 
    • Front desk: Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, employees, and vendors 
       
       
    • Communication: Answer and direct phone calls, handle emails and faxes, and take and deliver messages 
       
       
    • Organization: Maintain filing systems, contacts databases, and employee lists 
       
       
    • Inventory: Keep track of office supplies and order new materials as needed 
       
       
  • Scheduling: Arrange meetings, send meeting invites, and schedule travel arrangements 
     
     
  • Event planning: Organize on-site and off-site team events 
     
     
  • Equipment maintenance: Ensure office equipment is operable and complete preventive maintenance 
     
     
  • Customer service: Receive clients and show them to their respective offices 
     
     
  • Research: Conduct research and compile data upon request 
     
     
  • Accounting: Perform light accounting duties, such as preparing invoices, memos, and financial statements
