Position -  Welding Engineer

 Department: Quality Control

Qualification: DME/BE Mechanical with Certified Welding Inspector

Experience: 5 to 8 Yrs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Review Customer Specification, Drawing and Code Requirement to determine Welding Requirements for Procedure and Personnel qualification in accordance with Codes/ Project Requirement.
2. Prepare and Approve WPS, PQR, WPQ
3. Prepare and approve QAP, WPI.
4. Maintain Welding and Documents Records are per ASME, CE & IBR.
5. Initiate Procurement action by preparing and PO for all weld Materials tests.
6. Manage, Instruct Train Supervise the welders.
7. Prepare and issue/ maintain Welder Operator Qualification Records.
8. Maintains manufacturing assets, facility and records related to welding.
9. Manages welders by setting direction and priorities.
10. Performs and Verifies Performance Evaluations.
11. Commitment to Safety Procedures.
12. Performs other duties by coordinating work with third party inspections.
13. Managing, maintaining, and establishing new welding techniques for quality improvements and productivity improvements.
14. Developing and maintaining quality standards.
15. Developing and maintaining new Fabrication Process and procedures to improve new welding equipments, develop new technique and procedures.
16. Develop associate and Supervisor skills by conducting training meetings, one on one development sessions outside technical skills training, and establishing and monitoring performance reviews for supervisors.
17. Maintaining, and monitoring line efficiencies monitoring labour cost and productivity.
