We are an online optical business committed to providing high-quality eyewear and exceptional customer service. Our platform allows customers to browse and purchase prescription glasses and sunglasses all from the comfort of their home. We are looking for a Graphic Designer & Content Creator to join our marketing team and contribute visually compelling content that engages, informs, and attracts our target audience across various platforms.

Job Summary:

 

As a Graphic Designer & Content Creator, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and creating visual content across digital and print mediums. Your work will help drive brand awareness, engagement, and conversion across social media, website, email campaigns, digital ads, and other marketing materials. You will also assist in creating creatives with original content that tells our brand story and supports our marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

 

Graphic Design:

• Brand Identity: Ensure all graphic design work aligns with our brand’s identity, including maintaining consistent visual language, typography, colour schemes, and messaging across all materials.

• Design Assets: Create and design a wide range of visual content including digital ads, social media posts, banners, website assets, email templates, landing pages, infographics, product images, and promotional materials.

• Product Photography & Editing: Collaborate with the photography team (or independently if necessary) to create and edit high-quality product photos, ensuring they are well-lit, visually appealing, and aligned with brand aesthetics.

• Packaging Design: Design packaging concepts and labels for eyewear products, ensuring they reflect our brand’s quality and appeal.

• Design Tools: Utilize Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) or other design software to create professional-level graphics and digital assets.

 

Content Creation:

• Social Media Content: Develop and execute a content calendar for social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, etc.), including designing visually compelling posts, carousels, stories, and reels.

• Photography & Video: Capture high-quality photos and videos (either from scratch or by overseeing shoots) to showcase products, customer testimonials, and brand initiatives. Edit videos and photos to ensure they align with brand standards.

• Copywriting & Messaging: Write concise, engaging copy for social media, blog posts, email campaigns, and other marketing materials. Your copy should resonate with our target audience and drive engagement and conversions.

• Blog & Website Content: Create blog posts and web copy, focusing on engaging, SEO-optimized content related to eyewear trends, optical care, and product features.

• User-Generated Content: Encourage and curate user-generated content, such as customer photos, reviews, and testimonials, to share on social platforms and marketing materials.

 

Collaborative Projects & Campaigns:

• Campaign Support: Work closely with the marketing team to support digital marketing campaigns, including product launches, seasonal promotions, and influencer collaborations.

• Cross-Department Collaboration: Collaborate with product, sales, and e-commerce teams to ensure design materials align with product offerings and business goals.

• Visual Storytelling: Assist in telling the brand's story through engaging visual narratives that resonate with our audience and help strengthen customer loyalty and brand trust.

Performance Tracking & Adaptation:

• A/B Testing: Design and test different creative approaches for ads, landing pages, and email templates to optimize performance based on key metrics like CTR, engagement rates, and conversion rates.

• Analytics Review: Use insights from tools like Google Analytics, social media insights, and email marketing platforms to inform future content creation and design decisions.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Digital Media, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• Experience:

o Minimum 2-4 years of experience in graphic design and content creation, ideally within e-commerce, fashion, or lifestyle industries.

o A strong portfolio showcasing your graphic design and content creation work, especially digital assets and social media content.

• Design Skills:

o Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) and other design tools.

o Experience with design for web, email, and social media platforms.

o Knowledge of design principles, typography, and color theory.

• Content Creation & Photography:

o Experience with content creation for social media platforms, including photography, video production, and basic editing.

o Ability to create engaging, visually appealing content that aligns with a brand’s voice and style.

• Video Editing: Experience with video editing tools (Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar) is a plus.

• Digital Marketing & SEO:

o Understanding of digital marketing and the role of content in SEO, social media, and email marketing strategies.

o Ability to optimize content for SEO (keywords, metadata, etc.) to drive organic traffic.

• Communication & Collaboration:

o Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

o Ability to take creative direction and feedback to deliver designs that meet business goals.

• Attention to Detail & Creativity:

o Highly detail-oriented with a creative mindset and the ability to adapt designs for different platforms and purposes.

o Passionate about staying up to date with the latest design trends, content strategies, and digital marketing tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the eyewear, fashion, or e-commerce industry is a plus.

• Familiarity with motion graphics and animation is a bonus.

• Experience with e-commerce platforms (Shopify) and understanding the digital sales funnel.

• Knowledge of UX/UI design principles is a plus.

• Are familiar with 3D modelling required for face scan analysis
