Roles and Responsibilities

 
1. Direct and co-ordinate daily operation of the plant.
2. Oversee all levels of staff activity and performance. To maintain strict discipline in the plant
3. Develop process to increase productivity and performance.
4. To ensure maximum utilization of manpower & machinery
5. To ensure proper Housekeeping & Hygiene of plant.
6. To ensure proper security of plant.
7. To ensure proper maintenance of environment, health and safety related features.
8. Ensure company policies and procedures are followed at all times.
9. To screen, interview and manage the process of new hires.
10. To ensure proper plant Maintenance. To monitor equipment & utilities and ensure that they are maintained.
11. Implementation of quality system and complying norms of regulatory authorities.
12. To develop plan for cost saving and implementation.
13. Administering the functions related to new projects.
14. To ensure proper yield of products.
15. To ensure proper training to all employee. 16. Liasioning and compliances.
17. Maintaining proper dress code with washing records.
18. Human resources profiles management.
19. Leave management with over time records. 20. MIS and communication to HO.
21. Responsible for Canteen operation.
22. Leave applications and holidays management.
23. Responsible for day to day work and reporting to Management.
24. Responsible for other works which is allocated by Management
 
A manufacturing manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a manufacturing facility or department, including:
    • Production: Managing the production process, including planning and approving schedules, and ensuring efficiency 
       
       
    • Quality: Ensuring quality standards are met, and supporting quality improvement initiatives 
       
       
    • Safety: Ensuring safe working conditions, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental requirements 
       
       
    • Staff: Supervising staff, recruiting, hiring, and training employees 
       
       
  • Budget: Managing budgets, and approving invoices 
     
     
  • Equipment: Managing the use of equipment, and assisting in the design and build of new equipment 
     
     
  • Policies: Establishing and enforcing policies and procedures 
     
     
  • Processes: Analyzing and optimizing processes to improve efficiency and productivity 
     
     
  • Vendors: Negotiating with vendors and contractors 
     
     
Manufacturing managers typically have a bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or a related field, and at least 5 years of experience in the manufacturing sector. They also need strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
