Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager (BDM) with a deep understanding of the overseas education industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong network of contacts within colleges, universities, educational institutions, and test prep institutes in Ludhiana. This role involves driving new business opportunities, expanding our network of academic partners, and helping students achieve their dreams of studying abroad. The BDM will be responsible for creating strategic partnerships, building and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders, and ensuring the success of our business development initiatives in the region
Key Responsibilities:

Business Development & Lead Generation:
- Identify and build new business opportunities within the overseas education space, targeting colleges, universities, test prep institutes, and other educational institutions in Ludhiana.
- Leverage an existing network of contacts to create and maximize business opportunities, including student counseling, university tie-ups, and educational partnerships.
- Promote our services to potential partners and clients, and work towards establishing long-term relationships that drive sustainable business growth.
- Generate leads through networking, events, webinars, seminars, and other outreach activities.

Strategic Partnerships & Networking:
- Establish and maintain relationships with educational institutions, test prep centers, and study-abroad consultants to strengthen the company’s brand presence in Ludhiana and the surrounding areas.
- Work closely with key partners to identify collaborative opportunities, including joint promotions, referral programs, and strategic alliances.
- Represent the organization at educational fairs, industry events, and networking functions to enhance brand visibility and drive business.

Sales & Target Achievement:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual business development targets.
- Pitch the company’s offerings to universities, test prep institutes, and educational agents to build a solid pipeline of potential clients.
- Conduct presentations, consultations, and follow-up meetings with potential educational institutions and organizations.
- Close sales and sign agreements with educational institutions and test prep centers to expand the company’s network.

Client Relationship Management:
- Foster strong, ongoing relationships with academic partners and institutions to ensure client satisfaction and maximize retention.
- Understand and address the needs of educational institutions, students, and other stakeholders, providing tailored solutions to meet their specific requirements.
- Ensure regular communication with existing clients and partners to maintain a high level of engagement and satisfaction.

Market Research & Competitor Analysis:
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in the overseas education industry, including new opportunities, emerging markets, and competitor activities.
- Monitor and analyze competitor offerings and market positioning to help refine and improve business development strategies.
- Use insights from market research to propose new solutions and innovations to meet market demand.

Reporting & Performance Tracking:
- Regularly report on key performance indicators (KPIs), business development progress, and sales performance to management.
- Track the effectiveness of business development strategies and adjust tactics as needed.
- Maintain a well-organized CRM system with accurate records of leads, opportunities, and client interactions.
Skills & Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Education, or a related field. A Master's degree or MBA is a plus.

Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in business development or sales within the overseas education sector, with proven expertise in working with colleges, universities, and test prep institutes.
- Strong existing network of contacts within the Ludhiana region, specifically with educational institutions and stakeholders in the study abroad domain.
- Experience in developing and maintaining long-term relationships with key educational partners.

- Strong ability to generate leads, close deals, and meet sales targets.
- Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills to secure partnerships and agreements with educational institutions.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and effectively to clients and partners.
- Ability to build rapport quickly and work with a variety of stakeholders in the education sector.

Market Knowledge:
- In-depth understanding of the overseas education industry, including trends, key players, and challenges.
- Familiarity with student visa requirements, international study programs, and the application processes for various overseas destinations.
