Job Title: Godown Manager

Job Summary:

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Godown Manager to oversee the operations of our warehouse and ensure that stock levels are accurately recorded. The ideal candidate will be responsible for manual entry of stocks into the journal, managing inventory movement, ensuring the safe storage of goods, and maintaining an efficient system for stock tracking.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Stock Management:

    • Oversee the receiving, storing, and dispatching of goods in the warehouse (godown).
    • Ensure proper organization of products and materials within the warehouse, optimizing space and accessibility.
    • Regularly check stock levels to ensure inventory is accurately maintained.
  2. Manual Entry of Stocks:

    • Manually record and update stock levels in the journal, including receipts, issues, and adjustments.
    • Maintain accurate stock records, ensuring that all data entry is consistent and up-to-date.
    • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports for management.
  3. Inventory Control:

    • Ensure that stock discrepancies, if any, are resolved in a timely manner.
    • Monitor stock expiry dates and organize stock rotation.
    • Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile with recorded stock levels.
  4. Warehouse Maintenance:

    • Ensure the warehouse is clean, safe, and organized.
    • Manage and maintain equipment and tools used in stock handling.
  5. Collaboration and Reporting:

    • Coordinate with purchasing, logistics, and sales teams to ensure stock levels align with demand.
    • Assist in managing orders and deliveries based on stock levels.
    • Report any discrepancies, shortages, or damages to management promptly.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Any graduate (preferably in Commerce, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business Administration).
  • Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience in warehouse or inventory management. Fresh graduates with the right attitude may also be considered.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of inventory management systems (manual entry experience is essential).
    • Proficient in basic accounting and journal entry procedures.
    • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
    • Attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
