Role Overview The Chief Operations Officer (COO) will be the operational leader responsible for streamlining the company’s core processes, ensuring efficient execution of operational cycles, and keeping executive management updated on all critical matters. They will translate strategic goals into actionable steps, assign tasks across the organization, monitor task completion, and support continuous improvement. With a deep understanding of India’s and the world’s operational and technological landscape, the COO will also drive innovation by networking and gathering insights to enhance the firm’s operational advantage. Key Responsibilities 1. Operational Strategy and Execution • Develop, implement, and refine the operational strategy aligned with company objectives. • Identify actionable tasks required to achieve operational goals, determining the most suitable course of action for each. • Lead execution of operational cycles, monitoring progress, and ensuring high standards of task completion. 2. Task Management and Coordination • Assign tasks to appropriate personnel, whether internal (employees) or external (vendors), ensuring clarity and accountability. • Conduct thorough follow-up on all assigned tasks, tracking deadlines, milestones, and outcomes. • Ensure effective communication between task assignees and management, providing support and guidance as needed. 3. Performance Monitoring and Quality Assurance • Review task outcomes and maintain quality benchmarks to ensure each operation cycle meets company standards. • Conduct regular assessments of operational processes to identify inefficiencies and implement corrective measures. 4. Executive Collaboration and Planning • Work closely with the CEO and executive management to plan and review work cycles, operational priorities, and strategic initiatives. • Prepare periodic operational performance reports and hold regular briefings with management on current operational and technological developments. 5. Industry Insights and Networking • Actively engage in industry networking to stay informed on best practices, regulatory changes, and technological advancements in India. • Use insights gathered through networking and market analysis to strengthen operational capabilities and inform management. Qualifications 1. Educational Background • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (MBA preferred). 2. Experience • Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations, preferably in the financial services or wealth management industry. • Proven experience in leading operational initiatives and managing large, cross-functional teams. 3. Core Competencies • Strategic Planning: Ability to develop actionable plans that align with the company’s vision and drive long-term success. • Task Management: Skilled in organizing, delegating, and tracking tasks across teams. • Data-Driven Decision Making: Experience in using data insights for operational improvements. • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with India’s financial services and technology landscape. • Networking and Relationship Building: Established network within the industry and ability to leverage connections for strategic advantage. • Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex information succinctly to executives and team members. 5.
