A PVC mold fitter's responsibilities include fitting and assembling molds and tooling to engineering drawings. They may also perform other tasks, such as:
- Using hand tools, pillar drills, grinding wheels, and deburing tools
- Using engineering measuring equipment
- Performing mold maintenance
- Handling manpower
- Polishing molds
Other roles related to mold fitting include:

Molding technicianResponsible for mold care, repair, installation, and removal. They may also set up mold tooling, program and adjust molding machine production programs, and inspect parts.

Injection mold process technicianResponsible for all aspects of the injection mold process, including changing molds, troubleshooting, and maintaining equipment. They may also inspect parts to ensure they meet customer specifications.
