Operations Manager

Job Description:

JOB REQUIREMENT

We are looking for dedicated and hard-working people for the position of Operations Manager for International freight forwarding and projects. The candidate should mandatorily have experience and knowledge of the below:

Technical skills:

1.) VGM and SI of various shipping lines on ODEX / INTTRA and shipping line portals.
2.) Documentation for export shipments. (LCL, FCL, Break Bulk and ODC cargo).
3.) Customs process and documentation for export and import shipments.
4.) Documentation, measurement and logistics planning for ODC and breakbulk shipments.
5.) FORM 13, port pass, ODC permissions and other logistics coordination
6.) Pricing for all india export shipments Namely from Nhava sheva , Chennai , North ICDs , Mundra
7.) Handle third country shipments of both sea and air along with documentation and logistical planning.
8.) Cargo consolidation and Console box planning and execution.

Non-technical skills:

1.) Problem solver and result oriented individual
2.) Responsible and honest towards work
3.) Commitment towards client and ready to work as per shipments timings demand. ·
Experience required: Minimum 2 years’ experience in international freight forwarding. ·

1.) What is the maximum length, width and height of cargo that can be placed on 40 FR container?
2.) Are you well versed with odex , form 13 , vgm , SI , booking , amendment , port permission etc for general containers , special containers and breakbulk from Nhava Sheva / Mundra / Chennai / ICDs
3.) How strong is your relationship with various shipping lines specially in Nhava Sheva, Mundra, Chennai and North ICDs?
4.) Till which dates as per ETD of vessel forwarding note window is open in ICD for railway movement
5.) Are you comfortable in operations mmd3 /odex / shipping line portal and submitting shipping bills for various shipping lines?
